Etsy

I have a number of friends who sell on Etsy. I am a big fan and I try to shop there often. I recently bought a one of a kind necklace for a tween; the half sister of my God Daughter. My purchase was made at the IV for 4 shop and it was a huge hit. See the picture to the left and you will see why. Very hip, isn't it?

Most of the items are copper, sterling, or fine silver. The quality is great and I will certainly be making more purchases from IV for 4.

Living in a rural area I don't have mush of an opportunity to shop at boutiques that would carry one of kind items. But Etsy provides me with that opportunity on a regular basis. My only frustration (other than having to wait for the mail man) is that I don;t get to handle the item prior to purchase. To date I have not been disappointed by any item purchased via etsy.com.

Christmas presents a la tutu

I ran into Clairs this past weekend with my 4 year old. She saw a tutu that she really liked! And I was tempted to get it for her. But really... its not an item she needs.

I have decided to make her a few for Christmas. As well as her cousin.

I was going to buy a pattern on etsy.com (love that site!!!!!) but I found some detailed instructions for free. I am pretty sure I can handle this project. And if I do well at it, I will also try to make one for each little girl who attends her birthday party in June.

I hope my tiny dancer will be happy!

Do you need therapy

Very cool and easy craft.
Therapy bag
Easy gift to make and give to a loved one (sick or not).

I have made silimar ones for my kids when they were babies and getting thier first shots. I used rice and did not add oil (scent).

Think I am gonna ad this to my list of must-make-items.

:)
