Christmas presents a la tutu

I ran into Clairs this past weekend with my 4 year old. She saw a tutu that she really liked! And I was tempted to get it for her. But really... its not an item she needs.

I have decided to make her a few for Christmas. As well as her cousin.

I was going to buy a pattern on etsy.com (love that site!!!!!) but I found some detailed instructions for free. I am pretty sure I can handle this project. And if I do well at it, I will also try to make one for each little girl who attends her birthday party in June.

I hope my tiny dancer will be happy!

Fall is upon us

Hunting season is about to begin. That means I will become a hunting widow. Many of the wives I know anxiously await and count down the days until the season begins. They look forward to their husbands being gone all week for work and then all weekend for hunting.
Not me.
Maybe I am too needy. I prefer to have my husband home more than most wives I suppose. Or maybe I still like him.

I am still alive!

Yea, I am still here. Its been a busy summer. I have discovered the art of embroidery and have been spending my time doing a little here and there.

Summer arrived in norhtern NY last weekend. I hope we have a nice Indian Summer. I do love fall but they don't tend to last very long up here. POOF.. and its snowing.
